End-Point PCR ---------

I need to use my Open qPCR to perform some end-point PCR analysis. I just noted that it is possible to set the temperature to 4 °C (hold - overnight), but it seems that the lid remains “hot”, and the machine is quite noisy when working at low temperature. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Cesare,

Thanks for your post! Yes, the Open qPCR can accommodate temperatures between 4 – 100 degrees Celsius. However, it’s not recommended to hold the device at 4 degrees Celsius for longer than 2 hours at a time.

Currently, the lid will remain hot until the protocol ends. We have it in the pipeline to add a feature for turning off the lid temperature once the cycling protocol has completed.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
